ABOUT ME
IN THE LAB

Leftover Stirfry (2024) hand-painted 8mm film, 2min.

In collaboration with Elea van Es
A moving painting, colorful frames flying by, unique with every projection.
Recycled 8mm celluloid film material, bleached and hand painted.

A hommage to Stan Brakhage, especially his expressions in “Metaphors on Vision” :

“Imagine an eye unruled by man-made laws of perspective, an eye unprejudiced by compositional logic, an eye which does not respond to the name of everything but which must know each object encountered in life through an adventure of perception.”
